Andrew graduated from Leicester University in 1991 with an Honours Degree in Mathematics with Computing and went on to complete a Masters Degree in Real-time Computing at Nottingham Trent University in 1992.
Whilst undertaking a project on sonar beam-forming simulation for the M.o.D. he secured a software engineering position with a Derby based radio communications company where he spent the next 5 years honing his software design skills on distributed data networks.
In 1997 Andrew and co-worker Jef Lofts, were poached to head-up a team developing a LINUX / PC based distributed radio system for Midland Mobile Radio Ltd. During the 2 years spent with M.M.R. his interest in the use of the Internet for wide area data storage and distribution grew, culminating in the creation of Magneto Technologies in the year 2000.
Magneto Technologies have since designed, implemented and hosted many data-driven web-sites providing everything from a national graduate recruitment database to an online-store allowing the general public to design their own custom window-blinds.
